Rev. M. Samuel Sherouse
Rev. M. Samuel Sherouse was born on September 14, 1951, in Pensacola, Florida. After high school he attended Concordia Jr. College, Austin, Texas. Then he attended Concordia Sr. College, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, where he earned a B.A., with a major in Hebrew and a minor in Communications. He attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated in 1977, with a major in exegitical theology.

He served his first congregation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at Beautiful Savior. The rest of his ministry has been spent in Michigan. His last congregation was at Messiah Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan. Last year he celebrated his 30th year in the pastoral ministry.

He has been married for 34 years to his wife, Beverly, and they have five grown children: Jacii, Phillip, Janelle (Steve), Tracie (Zach), and Marissa. They also have two grandchildren: Mackensi and Jimmy, and one due on August 3rd.

Pastor Sherouse has been active throughout the years in Lutheran Youth Fellowship, Kairos and Kyrex prison ministries, Teens Encounter Christ, teens in crisis program put on by the National Guard, Hospice, Crop Walk For Hunger, and LWML & LLL counselor.

Some of his interests are the guitar, movies, science fiction, martial arts, Japanese anima, Asian culture, softball and biblical languages.
